An evening with YES and Hackney Jedis

The STAR Capital Partnership LLP team spent a brilliant evening in Hackney last week with Youth Experience in Sport - YES and one of its sports delivery partners, Hackney Jedis Basketball Club, along with HOOP CHIPS, for a session on the court.

Such a welcoming group, with some seriously impressive talent. The energy in the gym was electric.

Huge credit to the coaches and organisers for building something that is clearly about more than basketball. It is community, confidence and routine, and a place where young people can show up, be challenged and keep getting better.

A great reminder of what strong local programmes can do when sport, structure and great coaching come together.

Thanks for having us. We loved it and we will be back
