GenAir switches to HVO across UK fleet

STAR Capital Partnership LLP portfolio company GenAir UK Ltd (GenAir), the UK’s leading pure-play air compressor rental provider, is transitioning to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as a 100% replacement for diesel across its compressed air operations and logistics fleet.
- This cleaner-burning renewable fuel significantly reduces particulate emissions and lifecycle CO₂ emissions, and it is a simple drop-in replacement that requires no modifications to GenAir’s existing diesel compressor fleet.
- By adopting HVO across its own operations and customer rentals, GenAir and its clients can cut fuel-related carbon emissions by up to 90%, while also significantly reducing on-site air pollutants such as soot and NOx.
- This transition complements GenAir’s market-leading fleet of electric rental compressors, giving customers a cleaner, lower-carbon option even where mains electricity is not available.
