V.Group helps shape the sustainability conversation at London International Shipping Week

STAR Capital Partnership LLP portfolio company V.Group, a global provider of mission critical services to the maritime industry, was front and centre in discussing sustainability at London International Shipping Week 2027.

  • James Helliwell, Commercial Director of Decarbonisation, spoke at the Xinde Marine Forum on policy in practice. The session, “Advancing Greener Shipping with Maritime Policies”, covered the IMO GHG Strategy, EU ETS, and FuelEU Maritime, and their role in driving sustainable shipping and addressing compliance challenges.
  • Matt Dunlop, Group Director Sustainability & Decarbonisation, joined a discussion on shipping as a catalyst for the wider energy transition and the investment needed to scale alternative fuels such as green hydrogen.
